About the founder

Morgan Johnston is the CEO of Oak Arbor Media and graduated as Valedictorian in 2014 from North Carolina State University with a degree in Communication. She later received her MBA from North Carolina State University, graduating in 2020 with a degree in Marketing, as well as Technology, Entrepreneurship, & Commercialization. Her academic success and hard work provided her with a full scholarship.

Morgan has experience leading marketing and product management initiatives at three fortune 500 companies, with industries ranging from SaaS, hybrid cloud data services and data management, and home improvement retail.

While pursuing her MBA, Morgan had the opportunity to work with startups and small businesses on marketing strategy, video content creation, and business sustainability. Working with innovative companies of all sizes has provided a well-rounded business and marketing foundation that Morgan leverages at Oak Arbor Media.

Morgan is an FAA Certified Drone Pilot and enjoys providing a different perspective with video and photo using drone footage. She also enjoys speaking and holding workshops, with some of her most recent speaking engagements including Tacoma Startup Coffee in 2022, The Thomas Entrepreneurship Hub in 2021, American Underground in 2021, and Digital Summit in 2019.
